في سماءٍ تعلّمت يومًا كيف تُحب، رقّت السماوات… هادئةً بلا حذر. ورأت السماء القمر لأول مرة، كفكرةٍ رقيقةٍ أكثر من أن تُقال بصوتٍ عالٍ.

أحبّتها السماء دون شرط، ليس كنارٍ تطلب المزيد من الوقود، بل كالغسق الذي ينتظر الليل فقط ليرى اكتمال توهجها.

«يا قمري الجميل»، كانت السماء تهمس بصمت، «أنتِ تحملين نورًا مستعارًا، ومع ذلك تجعلين العالم يبدو وكأنه ملكك.»

أما القمر، المتوشّح بإشراقٍ بعيد، فقد علّم السماء كيف يمكن للجمال أن يكون قريبًا… ومستحيل اللمس في آنٍ واحد.

كانت تمنح الضوء للأراضي التائهة في الأسفل، وللبحار الضائعة، وللعيون المتعبة، وللطرق الوحيدة… وكانت السماء تبتسم بفخر، مفكّرة: ما أسعدني لأنني أحبها.

لكن الحب، حتى حين يكون سماويًا، يحمل ألمه الخاص.

في إحدى الليالي، أصبح القمر أبرد من الصمت، وتجمعت الظلال في المكان الذي كانت تسكنه الدفء.

ابتعدت… ليس رحيلًا، بل إلى مسافةٍ لم تعد السماء قادرة على لمسها.

وسألت السماء، مرتجفةً في اتساعها: «هل أنا التي تغيّرت… أم أنتِ؟»

لكن لم يعد هناك جواب، سوى صدى ذلك البريق الذي لم يعد يشبه اللطف.

مرّت السنوات في سكونٍ سماوي، وظلّت السماء منفتحة… لكن مجروحة، تحمل ذكرى الضوء كقصيدةٍ لم تكتمل أبدًا.

ثم، في ليلةٍ ما، عاد القمر…

كما كان، وليس كما كان.

ما زال جميلًا، لكن ببُعدٍ جعل حتى النجوم تتردد.

وتحدثت السماء، لا بغضب، بل بانكسارٍ هادئٍ من الحقيقة:

«كنتُ أعرفك يومًا كأنكِ الحب ذاته، أما الآن، فأعرفكِ كشيءٍ لا أستطيع الاحتفاظ به.

ربما لم أعرفكِ أبدًا، بل أحببتُ الفكرة التي صنعتها عنكِ في شدة اشتياقي.»

ولم ينكر القمر ذلك، فحتى الجمال، حين يُحمَل طويلًا، ينسى ثقل ما يتركه على قلوب من يعشقونه.

وهكذا تعلّمت السماء حكمةً حزينة: أن الحب لا يعود دائمًا بالهيئة التي مُنح بها، وأن أنقى أشكال الوفاء قد تعيد المسافة والزمن كتابتها.

ومع ذلك، في الليالي الصافية، تفتح السماء نفسها من جديد… لا لتستعيد، ولا لتملك، بل فقط لتتذكر كيف آمنت يومًا أن الحب قد يكون نورًا أبديًا.

When the Sky Loved the Moon

In a sky that once learned how to love,

the heavens softened—quiet, unguarded.

And the sky saw the moon for the first time,

like a thought too gentle to be spoken aloud.

The sky loved her without condition.

Not like fire that demands to be fed,

but like dusk that waits for night

just to see her glow become whole.

“Sweet moon,” the sky would whisper in silence,

“you carry borrowed light, yet you make the world feel yours.”

And the moon, draped in distant radiance,

taught the sky how beauty can be both near and untouchable.

She gave light to wandering earths below,

to lost seas, to tired eyes, to lonely roads—

and the sky would smile in pride,

thinking, how fortunate I am to love her.

But love, even when divine, has its ache.

One night, the moon turned colder than silence,

and shadows gathered where warmth once lived.

She drifted—not away, but beyond reach,

into a distance the sky could no longer touch.

And the sky, trembling in its vastness, asked softly,

“Have I changed, or have you?”

No answer returned—only the echo of brilliance

that no longer felt like kindness.

Years passed in celestial stillness.

The sky remained open, yet wounded,

carrying the memory of light

like a poem never finished.

Then one night, the moon returned—

the same, yet not the same.

Beautiful still, but now distant in a way

that made even stars hesitate.

The sky spoke, not with anger,

but with a quiet fracture of truth:

“I once knew you as love itself.

Now I know you as something I cannot hold.

Perhaps I never knew you at all—

only the idea of you I created in my longing.”

And the moon did not deny it.

For even beauty, when carried too long,

forgets the weight it places on those who adore it.

So the sky learned a sorrowful wisdom—

that love may not always return in the shape it was given,

and even the purest devotion

can be rewritten by distance and time.

Yet still, on clear nights,

the sky opens itself once more—

not to reclaim, not to possess,

but simply to remember

how it once believed

that love could be eternal light.
